So it's goodbye to the old year.
It started well, with the welcoming of friends and the sharing.
But by year's end there were too many sad goodbyes.
And I ran out of tears...
But now it's hello to the new year.
And the first poem of the year!
GOODBYE AND HELLO.
That's what life's about really isn't it?
Comings and goings
Being here and then not being here.
Going into entrances.
Going out of exits.
Opening doors
Then closing them.
